Bring Your Own Infrastructure

## Running your own servers or cloud?

Use your existing bare metal, colocation, or cloud accounts. Gameye layers its orchestration engine on top — handling session placement, scaling, failover, and the full API surface — while you own and pay for the compute directly.

- Use any combination of bare metal and cloud accounts
- Full Gameye orchestration API on your own infrastructure
- Admin Panel, session management, container lifecycle
- Multi-region placement and automatic failover
- Matchmaker integrations — Pragma, Nakama, PlayFab, FlexMatch
- Flat monthly fee per vCPU — no per-session or egress charges
- Have AWS credits or a commit deal? Bring your account — run on your existing credits and switch to Gameye infrastructure when they're exhausted

## Key terms

FAQ

## Frequently asked questions

Does Gameye charge egress fees?

No. Egress is included in the compute price. You pay for vCPU/hour — there is no separate bandwidth or data transfer charge.

What is the difference between on-demand and reserved?

On-demand ($0.07/vCPU/hr) is pay-as-you-go with no commitment. Reserved ($0.035/vCPU/hr) is a committed capacity block. Reserved capacity runs in dedicated node pools guaranteed on AMD Zen 4 or Zen 5 hardware at no extra cost; the minimum commitment is one 8-core machine per region. Most studios use a mix: reserved for baseline load, on-demand for peaks and launches.

Is there a minimum session length?

No. Billing is per second. There is no minimum session length and no minimum commitment for on-demand capacity.

Do I need a Gameye SDK in my game server?

No. Gameye requires no SDK in your game server binary. Ship a Docker container, call a REST API. No engine plugins, no lifecycle SDK.

What is Bring Your Own Infrastructure (BYOI)?

BYOI lets studios run Gameye's orchestration engine on their own servers — bare metal, colocation, or existing cloud accounts — at $2/vCPU/month flat. You own and pay for the compute directly; Gameye provides the full orchestration API on top.
